Community Counseling and Consulting Services is the private practice of Alex Castro, MA, NCC, CACIII, LPC, ATP, EMDR.
I have been in the counseling field for over 10 years, serving clients in various challenges in life which include addiction, anxiety, depression, relationships, sexual orientation/identity concerns, grief and loss and trauma. Among my skill specialties are anger management, substance use counseling, EMDR, and communication skills within relationships. All my services are offered in Spanish and in English.
My experiences working with various systems (Probation, Human Services, Department of Corrections, and Community Mental Health) have given me a wide array of exposure to a diverse population with various needs. I take pride and joy in working with a wide array of clients of all walks of life that desire to evolve and grow from their life experiences.
Helping others help themselves through empowerment and positive change is my passion. Like the natural phenomenon of the cenotes in Mexico pictured on this site, I believe that if people work to look deep inside themselves during hard times, they will find the empowering gift similar to these refreshing waters within themselves. I aim to help my clients with developing this awareness and movement towards the changes they seek.
